More than 25 years HoKa

Once upon a time...

25 years ago, a man had an idea. This idea consisted of a plastic pipe, an oven and a bicycle hose.

Driven by the need to produce a Bends for a plastic ventilation system, Karl-Josef Schäfer came up with the idea in 1986 of taking a PVC Pipe home, heating it in his home oven (much to the delight of his wife, of course) and then shaping it by means of a bicycle hose.

Karl-Josef presented the result to his friend and boss at the time, Horst Severyns. He quickly recognized the potential of the process. The decision matured to develop machines for the production of Bends.

Horst and Karl realized that a company would have to be founded for this purpose - but what should the company be called? After a few puns on the subject of plastics and Bends, they decided to abbreviate their own names - HoKa was born.

The blow molding process developed was patented and is still a central component of HoKa's manufacturing processes today.

Over the years, the company continued to invest in technology and expansion. Today, HoKa is a company equipped with state-of-the-art technology that supplies plastic ventilation moldings worldwide.

Move to a larger industrial hall of approx. 400 m² in Siegburg.

1990
Investment in the first injection molds.

1992
Move from Siegburg to Hennef in the Reutherstrasse with a hall area of 800 m².

1995
Expansion of the hall area to 1,100 m²

1998 - 99
Expansion of the production, warehouse and office area to more than 2.500 m².

Enlargement of the areas by 2.400 m².
